Discover the island of Gran Canaria

The Hotel Riviera Vista is located on a hill between Playa del Cura and Playa de Tauro, a privileged location with wonderful views of the Atlantic Ocean, a short distance from the famous Playa de Amadores and the lively nightlife and daytime life of Puerto Rico.

Mogán

Beaches and interesting places in Mogán

Mogán is one of the best known towns in Gran Canaria. This makes it one of the most visited areas by tourists who come to visit the island. It has a wide range of leisure and entertainment for all ages, which makes it even more attractive for tourists.

On the coast of Mogán we must highlight Playa del Cura, where our hotel is located; Playa del Tauro, which borders our location; and of course, Playa de Amadores, one of the best known and most popular beaches in Mogán and less than 3km from our hotel.

And of course, we cannot forget to mention Playa de Puerto de Mogán. One of the busiest and most popular tourist attractions due to its location in Puerto Mogán.

South of Gran Canaria

Puerto Mogán, Playa de Amadores, Puerto Rico and Maspalomas

The southern coast of the island of Gran Canaria, together with Las Palmas, the capital, is where most of the island's tourist attractions converge.

Puerto Mogán: without a doubt an obligatory stop. A small, picturesque fishing village, known by some as Little Venice.

Playa de Amadores: one of the best known beaches on the island and of great scenic beauty due to its unique orography.

Puerto Rico: possibly the area with the most tourist attractions on Gran Canaria. An area with a lively daytime and nightlife atmosphere.

Maspalomas Dunes: one of the greatest gifts for the eyes on the island. A walk through the dunes of Maspalomas, ending up in front of Maspalomas beach, is something that everyone should do at least once in their lives.

Charming villages

In the interior of the island

When you go on holiday, if you like to get to know the essence of the place you are in, then we recommend that you take a closer look at the most beautiful and emblematic villages inland.

Start with the village of Tejeda. Possibly the most difficult to reach, due to its location in the highlands of the island, but considered one of the most beautiful villages in Spain. Don't miss it!

Teror is another of those villages that will take your breath away. Stroll through the main streets of the village and let yourself be enveloped by the gastronomy, the craft markets and the life of its streets.

Firgas is a small village, just a short distance from Teror, which you can see in just a few hours, but which we recommend for the peculiarity of its Avenida de Gran Canaria. Don't miss this amazing experience!

And finally, another must, the village of Arucas. Also very close to Teror and where you can breathe Canarian tradition in its purest essence.

Las Palmas

Visit the island's capital

As is usual everywhere, the capital becomes an obligatory stop on a holiday trip. In this case, Las Palmas, capital of Gran Canaria, will delight you!

We recommend a stroll through the shopping streets of the Triana district. Streets where the traditional converges with the modern, resulting in an essential area to get to know the island.

The walk through Triana will take you to the Plaza de Santa Ana, where the spectacular Cathedral of the same name stands. In the other direction, we recommend a visit to the Vegueta Market, where you can sample typical Canarian delicacies.

And finally, if you like the atmosphere of the beach, we recommend a stroll along the promenade of Playa de las Canteras, awarded as one of the best urban beaches in the world.

Activities and sports

Discover what to do in Gran Canaria

If there is one thing the Canary Islands are known for in terms of sport, it is the great tradition of water sports on their coasts. If you are a lover of water sports, the beaches and coasts of Gran Canaria offer a wide range of water activities.

In the south of Gran Canaria, and more specifically in the municipality of Mogán, you will find several golf courses. So if you like this sport, if you stay at our hotel, you can continue to enjoy it.

On the other hand, if you like the mountains, we recommend some of the hiking routes prepared for all levels and intensities. Enjoy nature in its purest form on hiking routes in the mountains.

And finally, we would like to mention the importance of cycling in Gran Canaria. A sport that is becoming more and more popular on the island.
